JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” invested 333.4 mln roubles in the development of the group’s companies in 2006. 90.6 mln of them were allocated for the purchase of the controlling interest in JSC “Rosmyasomoltorg”. 73.7 mln roubles were spent for the acquisition and reconstruction of storage facilities.
JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” in the framework of the Group’s Development Concept spent 525 thousand roubles for the container terminal project and 929 thousand roubles for organization of the checkpoint and transit parking lot with exit to Dvinskaya street.
Under the above-mentioned Programme 67 mln roubles were allocated for the renewal of the equipment fleet. 66 units of handling equipment were purchased: 1 balance-crane, 22 lift trucks with the hoisting capacity from 2 up to 42 tons, 5 port tractors, 1 reach-stacker, 20 roll-trailers, 13 grabs for different types of cargoes. The equipment is in operation at the stevedoring companies of the group JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”. When choosing the equipment manufacturers, safety requirements and the existing lineup were taken into consideration.
For information: The group of stevedores JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” includes “First Stevedoring Company”, “Second Stevedoring Company”, “Stevedoring Timber Company”, “Fourth Stevedoring Company” and a number of service companies. In 2006 the group of companies handled 11.8 mln tons of cargoes - 22% of the total cargo turnover of the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg.
