On January 18, 2008 at the meeting of the workers of CJSC “Fourth stevedoring company” the decision to sign the agreement “On settlement of collective labour dispute in CJSC “Fourth Stevedoring Company” was taken. The respective decree was received by the administration of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” on Monday, January 21. On signing this document the strike in CJSC “Fourth stevedoring company” was officially ceased.
The dockers of CJSC “Fourth stevedoring company”, who participated in strike, suspended the strike, which had started on November 13 and resumed the operations on November 21. The rest of the workers of the technical department of the company resumed their work on November 26, but officially the company continued to participate in strike for 2 more months.
After official cessation of the strike and the settlement of the collective labour dispute in CJSC “4SC” the administration of the company took decision to increase the salaries and the wage rates of the workers of CJSC “4SC” starting from February 2, 2008.
The increase was scheduled for the beginning of 2008 for all the stevedoring companies of the group, but due to the rash and provocative actions of the leaders of the Trade Union Committee of the dockers, activities aimed at destabilization of the environment, which resulted in strike, the administration of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” had to carry out the increase gradually according to the settlement of the labour disputes in the stevedoring companies of the group.
Reference: Salaries and wage rates of the dockers of Fourth Stevedoring company will increase by 10% starting from February 1, 2008; and the salaries of the mechanization workers will increase by 12%. By February 1, 2007 the salaries and the wage rates of the other categories of the workers will increase in proportion with the previous growth of the salaries as follows: tallymen -by 51%, stevedores and workers of the warehouse - by 27%, dispatchers - by 21%, workers of mechanization - by 16%.
The employees of CJSC “Second Stevedoring Company”, who participated in strike, suspended the strike and resumed the work on November 19, 2007, but officially the company participated in strike till November 30, when the decision on calling off the strike was taken. On December 28, 2007 the agreement “On settlement of the collective labour dispute” was signed. In accordance with this agreement the salaries and the wage rates of the employees of CJSC “Second Stevedoring Company” were increased in accordance with the categories of workers by 5-15% since January 1, 2008.
The workers of CJSC “PerStiCo” took up their duties at night from Friday to Saturday on November, 17 from 0.00 o’clock in accordance with the ruling of Saint-Petersburg city court.
