On the 28th of October 2016 года JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (SP SPb) run an environmental event “Clean Island”. For several hours the employees of SPSP were collecting wastes, plastic bottles and broken glass on the coastal line of Putilov’s Embankment of the Seaway Channel at Kanonersky Island.
“We are running this event for the second year in a row and now we can state with confidence, that this is our new tradition. Despite bad weather, which surprised us with drizzling rain and harsh wind, all the participants were in magnificent spirits”, said Dmitry Vorobiev, Head of PR Department of SPSP.
Environmental protection is of special priority in the programme of development of SPSP. Every three months our company is assigning the funds for protection of the port water area of the Finnish Gulf and of natural air, safe treatment of wastes and uninterrupted operation of environmental facilities.
