Last weekends within the implementation of the social programme OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (SP SPb) arranged traditional autumn excursion for children of port workers. Together with children parents made trip aboard comfortable motor vessel along Sea Canal nearby berths of the First and Second areas of the port.
Aboard the vessel the passengers participated in entertainment programme with magician guide, received educational presents and had sweets. Children not only learned about the place of work of their parents but also experienced atmosphere of magic and sorcery. Young magicians passed tests, cooked magic potions and herbs and fought with mighty evil forces. The atmosphere of Fairyland pleased both children and grown-ups who participated in contests with great pleasure.
Care of children is one of priorities of social policy of SP SPb. On the eve of new school year the company rendered financial assistance to the port workers whose children entered the first form in school. In spring children visited aquarium in “Neptune’s Planet” where they learned a lot about underwater world and its inhabitants. Besides SP SPb traditionally supports children of orphanage Nr.10 of Kirov district of Saint-Petersburg which has been under guidance of the company for several decades. In the first half of this year the company purchased new furniture and made repairs of bedrooms and play rooms in the orphanage.
