The dockers of the “First Stevedoring Company” handled the next lot of out-of-gauge heavy-lift cargo with the total weight of 3.34 thousand tons.
680 units of the equipment for Indian Atomic Power Station were loaded on to motor vessel by shipboard, gantry cranes and floating crane “Bogatyr”. The “lightest” giant weighted 38 tons, the heaviest unit of the equipment - steam generator - weighted 317 tons.
It is the 24th lot for India, handled during last two years by the dockers of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”.
The group of stevedoring companies JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” includes CJSC “First Stevedoring Company”, CJSC “Second Stevedoring Company”, CJSC “Stevedoring Timber company”, CJSC “Fourth Stevedoring Company” and a number of service companies. In the first half of 2006 the total share of the group in the turnover of the Greater Port amounted to 22%.
