On February 27, delegation of Kirovsky district administration visited “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”. Andrey Filatov, the head of the district where the port is located, discussed with the management of the group of companies the pressing issues of Saint-Petersburg development.
Mr.Filatov emphasized the importance of the Company for the city and highly appreciated the relevance of “The Programme on routing the cargo flows from the areas of the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg to the main traffic arteries” initiated by JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” jointly with its partners. The Programme will allow it to relieve the municipal roads.
In the course of the meeting Mr.Sergey Chelyadin told about the problems of the port’s future development, about the main operational and financial results of the company’s activity, as well as about the social programmes being implemented by JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”. The head of the district once again noted significance of the group’s companies both for Saint-Petersburg and for the country as a whole and promised to attend to the issues that were important for the port and the district.
For information: The group of stevedores JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” is one of the largest budget-forming companies in the Kirovsky district. According to preliminary estimates, in January 2007 the group’s companies paid 51.6 mln roubles in taxes and duties. Of them 12.5 million roubles were transferred to the local budget, which is by 112% higher than the figure of 2006. In 2006 the group of companies spent over 41 mln roubles for various social programmes.
