JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” actively participates in the implementation of Programme on removal of cargo flows from the city, envisaging the construction and reconstruction of the facilities strategically important for Saint-Petersburg.
This programme, including all the offers of “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”, was approved by the Administration of the city as “The list of the facilities of road network, providing the access to the Western Speed Diameter and the port”. All these measures will ensure the development of the Greater port of Saint-Petersburg, lead to the growth of the foreign trade and international haulages and bring additional profits and tax payments to the budgets of all levels.
The group of companies “Sea port of Saint-Petersburg” together with the partners financed the development of the “Programme on transfer of the cargo flows from the area of the Greater Port of SPb to the main roads”.
Within this Programme it is planned to construct new part of Gapsalskaya street from Mezhevoy kanal to Dvinskaya street; to create four lanes on the embankment of the Ekateringofka river and traffic interchange in order to connect the embankments, including the embankment of the Obvodniy kanal to the Western Speed Diametre. Nevelskaya and Shkiperskiy protok streets will be reconstructed and Shotlandskaya street will me extended up to the Ekatirengofka river. It is also planned to reconstruct the traffic interchange on Marshala Zhukova prospect leading over the railway to the Coal Harbour.
In order to solve the problems related to the intense traffic of the trucks in the residential areas JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” implements a number of projects at its own expense: reconstruction of the check-point at Gapsalskie gates, design and construction of the check-point with the access to Dvinskaya street, creation of the buffer zone for the trucks neaby the Ekateringofka river.
