Within the development programme implemented in the group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” conceptual design for refrigerated terminal on the territory of First Stevedoring Company with annual capacity of 1.5 mln. tons has been accomplished.
Within the conceptual design layout with the location of terminal facilities and planned cargo flows with consideration of the peculiarities of terminal infrastructure has been developed, calculations related to the amount of equipment and personnel needed have been made.
Alternative technologies of handling for the parts of the transportation route “vessel – berth”, “berth – warehouse” have been explored. On the basis of this analysis optimum layout of cargo handling operations has been created.
New reefer capacities for storage of vegetables, fruits, bananas and deep-frozen products on the territory of the first cargo area of the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg will secure handling of foodstuffs preserving their quality and compliance with the European sanitary norms.
Company has started the design works on the basis of approved concept of the terminal.
