Within the period of 9 months of 2013 the turnover of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (“SP SPb”) amounted to 5.8 mln tons of cargoes, which is by 14% less than within the same period of the last year. 


Handling volumes of general cargoes, which include mainly ferrous metals decreased by 20% and amounted to 4.3 mln. tons. Handling volumes of ferrous metals decreased almost by 36% and amounted to 1.5 mln. tons. Such changes were caused by general decrease of Russian export of steel due to low demand at the world markets.


Handling volumes of loose and bulk cargoes of the company increased by 17% and amounted to 1.5 mln. tons. Handling volumes of mineral fertilizers grew in 1,7 times, up to 871 thousand tons.


Export volumes of the company decreased by 12% and amounted to 4.6 mln. tons, import turnover decreased by 18% and amounted to 1.3 mln. tons.
