During 9 months of 2007 the stevedoring companies of the group JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” handled 9.3 mln. tonnes of cargoes. This is by 9% more than the figures for the period from January to September of 2006.


“First Stevedoring Company” handled 3.99 mln. tonnes, which is by 2% less  than in January - September of 2006. This was caused by the decrease of the export volumes and the growth of internal market prices for ferrous metals - the main specialization of FSC.
“Second Stevedoring Company” handled 1.58 mln. tonnes having increased its turnover by 5.5%.
“Third Stevedoring Company” - handled 0.4 mln. tonnes, having increased its performance of 2006 by 5.8%.
 “Fourth Stevedoring Company” handled 3.34 mln. tonnes, having increased the handling volumes by 28%.


During this period bulk and loose cargoes (3.57 mln. tonnes), packaged cargoes (4.47 mln. tonnes) and metals (3.72 mln. tonnes) prevailed in the structure of the turnover.
