In the first quarter of 2007 stevedoring companies of the group of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” handled 2747 thousand tons of cargoes. It is by 21% more than the same figures in 2006.
“First Stevedoring Company” handled 1128 thousand tons, “Second Stevedoring Company” - 496 thousand tons. “Stevedoring Timber Company” handled 135 thousand tons, “Fourth Stevedoring Company” - 987 thousand tons.
During this period bulk cargoes (1054 thousand tons) and break-bulk cargoes (1254 thousand tons) prevailed in the structure of the turnover.
