Since April, 2009 ro-ro terminal on the territory of the Fist Stevedoring Company 326 thousand tons of cargoes. Import cargo flow amounted to 182 thousand tons of ro-ro cargoes, export cargo flow - 142 thousand tons. Within one year ferries “TransEuropa” and “Translubeka” made 79 vessel calls to the terminal.

In October 5, 2009 ferry of the British company “Mann Lines” delivered roll-trailers with the construction equipment with the total weight of 1600 tons for the new soccer field of Zenit soccer club to the ro-ro terminal. It is planned that in 2010 ferries of “Mann Lines” will call regularly.

Within the Development Programme in August of 2009 designing works related to multipurpose storage facility for cargoes on roll-trailers instead of old facilities for aluminum were completed.  The project envisages the equipment of the terminal by the automatic inventory control system, which will make it possible to increase speed of handling operations and monitor the storage process at each stage.

In 2009 the construction works related to equalizing gears for connection of ferry ramp with the berth 37, asphalt pavement of the territory around warehouses and storage grounds for cars, repairs of mobile trestle bridges were completed.

Ro-ro terminal of the First Stevedoring Company was constructed within the Development Programme of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg, which envisages the handling of more profitable cargoes and growth of handling capacities of the stevedoring companies of the group up to 20 mln. tons per  year. Terminal with the annual capacity of 1 mln. tons will make it possible to handle all types of ro-ro cargoes: cars, roll-trailers, highway freighters, trains, caterpillars and wheeled equipment, which are transported further via check-point by trucks or railway transport. 780 mln. Rubles were transferred for designing and construction of the 1st stage of the terminal.

«Mann Lines» - operator of ferries on the Baltic Sea – performs regular trades along the routes: ports of Great Britain-Holland–Germany–Estonia (Tallinn, Paldiski) and ports of Holland -Germany–Russia (Kaliningrad, Saint-Petersburg).
