In the 1st quarter of 2017 JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (SP SPb) spent 3.6 mln roubles for implementation of the ecological action plan. The funds were used for preservation of the Finnish Gulf water area, protection of atmospheric air, safe waste management and trouble-free operation of the port’s environmental facilities.
The company carried out control over the use of sanitary protection and coastal areas, monitored the quality of natural waters, performed maintenance works at water treatment facilities. SPSP took atmospheric air samples on the boundary of sanitary protection zone.
In order to comply with the waste management statutory requirements SPSP ensured timely removal of waste from the company’s territory.
