In 2018, Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC (SP SPb) allocated more than RUB 37 million for implementation of labour protection measures. 

 

The bulk of company’s budget for the occupational health and safety measures was earmarked for compensation of employees’ implementation of certain types of work and work in harmful conditions in accordance with the requirements of the Russian Federation labor legislation and the Collective Agreement of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg. In particular, more than RUB 12 million was spent for extra pay, RUB 8.9 million – for additional vocation and over RUB 0.7 million – for milk food pay.

 

To upgrade the employees’ personal protective gear, SP SPb purchased overalls, shoes and other individual protection means for a total of RUB 9.1 million.

 

Over RUB 5.5 was allocated for employee’s health care, including medical examinations.

 

The stevedoring company spent over RUB 0.2 million on occupational safety training as required by RF Ministry of Labour and Social Development and RF Ministry of Education.

 

Besides, the company was performing industry inspection and job safety analysis in compliance with the Federal Law No 426 “On special evaluation of labour conditions”, provided information materials on labour safety and conducted other related activities.
