In 2013 JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (“SP SPb”) transferred 224.8 mln. rubles for the development of port infrastructure and technical re-equipment of the terminals.
Main part of the funds was transferred for modernization of technological and handling equipment. In order to increase the efficiency of handling of loose and bulk cargoes radio-controlled grabs, bucket loaders and semi-trailers were purchased. New handling accessory for handling equipment which will allow to improve handling of general cargoes was purchased. Ro-ro equipment and fork-lift truck were put into operation at the ro-ro terminal.
Part of the funds was transferred for modernization of security system of the port and re-equipment of storage grounds. Within the reporting period the design works and works on re-equipment of the check-point cross State border of Russian Federation were made.
