In January-September of 2014 OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (“SP SPb”) transferred 24.2 mln rubles for the implementation of the social projects and training of the personnel.
Main part of the funds was transferred for the support of the employees and their families. The company reimbursed the expenses for sport, recreation and treatment. Financial assistance was rendered also to single-parent families and employees in hard life situations.
Besides the company paid quarterly bonuses to non-working pensioners and employees, granted the rank “Veteran of the Port”, also to people celebrating their jubilees and active representatives of the veteran’s organization. Best employees of the company received bonuses and were granted honourable mentions of the Managing Director and were given award pins: four – by silver and one –by golden.
Within the reporting period 237 employees of “SP SPb” were trained, which is 1.6 times more than within the same period of the last year.
SP SPb also transferred funds for renovation of orphanage Nr. 10 of the Kirov district of Saint-Petersburg, which has been supported by the company for several decades. The company arranged excursions for children of port workers and family trips for the employees. Besides this spring the football team of SP SPb was established and this team successfully participated in football match among transportation companies of Saint-Petersburg.
