Operating Committee of the Federal Council on industrial policy supported the governmental draft law envisaging the creation of special port economic zones in Russia (SPEZ), reported the chairman of the Committee Valentin Zavadnikov. “This document determines the procedure of creation, functioning and termination of SPEZ on the territories of the sea and river ports, airports of Russia, both current and projected”, -said the senator.

 

He specified that for the same purpose this draft law significantly changes Customs and Tax Codes and also existing federal law “On special economic zones in Russia”.

 

According to Zavadnikov, the draft law envisages that the duration period of SPEZ will be equal to 49 years in comparison with the other special economic zones, created for the period of 20 years.
