According to preliminary data, tax payments of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” in 2008 amounted to 1 billion rubles, which is by 6 % more than in the last year.
Last year 330 mln. rubles were transferred to the local budget, which is by 7% more than in 2007; 738 mln. rub. were transferred to the federal budget (+5%). The increase of tax payments was due to the bigger number of complicated and costly handling operations in the stevedoring companies of the group.
In 2008 the average salary of the workers of the group of companies JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” grew by 26% and amounted to 35 000 rub. In particular, the salary of dockers now amounted to 40 000 rub.
