Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC (SP SPb) had organized a traditional boat trip along the Neva River and the Seaway Canal passing the port berths.

The event programme included a lot of dancing, singing, competitions and refreshments. Children took part in quizzes answering the questions about the port which could be clearly seen from water. They could have time of their lives together with the parents. At the end of the event the kids were given nice presents from the company.

– That was our first boat trip. Earlier, we took part in a tour to a TV center organized for the employees’ children. Both events get 10 of 10 possible! – Aleksey Ulanov, shore-based worker of SP SPb, shares his impressions. – Activity organizers involved the kids at once into their eventful programme. Everybody could enjoy the views of the water area. My son and I could see a lot and I told about the ships and about the work routine in the port. That was actually the purpose of his participation in the tour. On board refreshments were a pleasant surprise as well as the port brand gifts. With the newly presented pocket speaker, the event had its continuation at home.

– That was awesome, my kids liked it very much! – tells dock engineer Ivan Volegov. –They shared their impressions for a long time afterwards. They even told our neighbors in the country about the boat trip, the cranes in the port, dancing and competitions and they showed their gifts to everybody. Thanks a lot for the tour and for the gifts! The kids are still very excited!

The tour was arranged with respect of all sanitary-and-epidemiologic measures. In compliance with the restrictions on the number of people on board the tour was held in two streams – on October 7 and October 8.

The company maintains the tradition of family meetings and annually holds cultural and entertainment events for its employees’ children. In summer 2021, the company organized a tour around the 5-TV studio where the visitors experienced performing on-camera and working as operators or engineers.

As part of its Family and Childhood Protection Programme, Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg has been traditionally providing financial support to employees with multi-child families, unwed mothers and parents of disabled children. The programme also covers birth allowances, special payments for parents of first-graders, expenses for summer holidays of employees’ children at health improvement camps and New Year presents.
