From the beginning of the year, Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC (SP SPb) has allocated over RUB 1.1 million for social support of its employees’ families.
SP SPb has been traditionally providing birth allowances and financial support to employees with multi-child families, unwed mothers and parents of disabled children. A special payment and an extra day-off are foreseen for parents of first-graders on September 1.
The company covered expenses for summer holidays of its employees’ children at health improvement camps. The company provided its own recreation facility for summer holidays of 1,500 kids from orphanages and families experiencing hardship. Every day, the children spent much time in the open air, participated in sport events and competitions and visited hoppy clubs such as play dough modeling, painting, poker drawing, origami, press center activities etc.
In June, the company organized a tour around the 5-TV studio. The young participants were told about the history of the Leningrad TV center and about the process of television broadcasting. The visitors also experienced performing on-camera and working as operators or engineers. SP SPb arranges such events twice a year. In early October, it will offer a water trip along the Neva river.
Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg pays much attention to family and childhood support. It regularly expands the scope of privileges for its employees.
