The first shipment lot of STSs for handling of 20,30,40 and 45-feet containers has been delivered for the first stage of container terminal to the Fourth Stevedoring Company (capacity – 40 containers per hour).
STS were transported on the pontoon with the use of tug from the assembly site of the Finnish factory of “Konecranes”.
In order to discharge cranes (weight -800 tons each) special offloading rails were installed and connected to the pontoon rails on the berth Nr. 101. Later on using these rails the cranes with the help of hydraulic cylinders were moved to the quay.
At the present time tallymen’s cabins, storm anchorage and ladders are being installed. Commissioning works will be started at the beginning of December.
The next shipment lot of STS, yard trailers, reach- stackers for empty containers and auxiliary equipment are expected to be delivered till the end of the first quarter of 2010. By the present time 10 RTGs have been delivered.

TEU was started in 2008 on the territory of the Fourth Stevedoring Company within the Development Programme and time is being carried out 24 x 7. At the moment the area is being paved by operational pavement (wear-proof combination of cement, asphalt and concrete), the refrigerated racking system is being mounted, new transformer substations are being commissioned. The construction of personnel buildings has been started.
