It is a good tradition with the JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” to take care of the former port employees – the people who had contributed to the company’s development. The port renders welfare support to its former workers and participates in the activity of Veterans Council.
In 2013, 6,4 mln rbls were allocated for veterans’ support. This included financial assistance to the Siege survivors and Great Patriotic war participants who had worked on the berths of the port in former times. In the 4th quarter of 2013 on the eve of the New Year holidays the port’s veterans received quarterly bonuses which totaled 1,5 mln rbls. Those who take an active part in the work of Veterans Council and persons celebrating their jubilees got additional payments.
