Since the beginning of the year, AO Sea Port of St. Petersburg (SP SPb) has spent year-to-date in excess of 15.8 million rubles ($233,366) on occupational health and safety measures.
More than a half of the OH&S budget (RUB 9 million) was earmarked for compensation of performance of certain types of work and hazardous duty pay in accordance with the requirements of the Russian labor legislation and the CBA of AO Sea Port of St. Petersburg. The compensation include extra pay, additional vocation and milk food pay.
The stevedoring company spent nearly RUB 3.8 million rubles on upgrade of employees’ personal protective gear, on the purchase of overalls and shoes, RUB 2.5 million on employee’s health care, including medical examinations.
To improve employees workplace safety culture SP SPb conducted the occupation safety rules training of its personnel and ensured industrial inspection.
