Within 9 months of 2012 JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” transferred 45.1 mln. rubles for the implementation of the social programmes.
Main part of the funds was transferred for financial assistance of port workers and their families and also former port workers. The company provided traditional payments to non-working pensioners-veterans of the port and employees, who were awarded as “Veterans of the Port” this year. The company rendered financial assistance to the single mothers and families with many children.
Priority area of the port social policy is still care of children. Within the previous period the company arranged excursion to the Railway Museum named after V.V. Chubarov, water excursion along the inner water area of the Greater Port of Saint-Petersburg. Besides, the company reimbursed the major part of the cost of staying of employees’ children in recreation camp “Mayak” during summer holidays.
“Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” traditionally supports sponsored orphanage Nr. 10 of Kirov district. This year the company made the renovation and purchased new furniture.
The other area of social policy of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” is rendering support to children’s shooting sport in Saint-Petersburg. The company transfers funds for the development of sport shooting club “Oliempiets”, which has also Center for preparation of young sportsmen where children can be trained shooting free-of-charge.

“Mayak” is located on the territory of state wildlife reserve in the picturesque part of the Karelian Isthmus nearby the Gulf of Finland. Annually 1700 children from Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region spend their holidays in this camp.
Center for preparation of young shooters at the sport shooting club “Olimpiets” in park of Sosnovka (Saint-Petersburg) is fully functional training center for young sportsmen where children can be trained sport shooting free-of-charge. Center is equipped by all the necessary equipment in order to give theoretical and practical classes, including modern computer simulator for training of shooting techniques. Only skilled and professional trainers work in the club.
