In 2016 JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (SP SPb) spent 5.9 mln roubles for material support of the company’s veterans, which is 9% more than in 2015.
SPSP transferred over 4.8 mln roubles as the quarterly financial aid to nonworking pensioners who had been awarded the title “Veteran of Saint-Petersburg Sea Port”.
Also the company made payments to the veterans on the occasion of the Day of Sea and River Fleet Workers. Port workers - participants of the Great Patriotic war, homefront workers, prisoners of concentration camps and survivors of siege received payments on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Victory and the Day of Lifting the Siege of Leningrad.
People celebrating jubilee dates and active members of veterans organization got bonuses.
Apart from material support, SPSP organized cultural events, concerts and meetings with young port workers.
