At night from June 25 to 26, 2015 for the first time OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (SP SPb) handled shipment lot of black cattle – over 900 breeding bulls of  aberdeen-angus breed. Cargo was delivered to Russia from USA aboard the specialized vessel ABOU KARIM IV. 

For relocation of cattle from vessel corral was used. Along this corral bulls were driven to specially equipped transportation vehicles. For handling of cattle 4 vehicles were used simultaneously –all in all 40 units of equipment. After reloading truck were immediately delivered to destination point – Bryansk region. Handling operations took seven hours.

Handling was performed on request of AIH “Miratorg”, “TransVentus” acted as a freight forwarder.

Handling of non-standard cargoes is one of key areas of development of SP SPb. Traditionally the company is a partner of many leading industrial power and transportation companies participating in major International projects.
