Transport industry of Russian Federation increased the turnover by 5.5% in January-April, reports Rosstat.
The turnover of transport industry of Russian Federation grew by 5.5% in January-April of 2008 in comparison with the similar period of the last year, up to 1 trln 688,9 bln tons-kilometers, according to information of "Interfax".
In particular, the turnover of railway transport amounted to 737,6 bln tons-kilometers (tkm, growth by 8.5%), the turnover of automobile transport - 65,6 bln tkm (growth by 3.2%), the turnover of sea transport - 24.9 bln tkm (growth by 57.7%), the turnover of river transport - 3.7 bln tkm (decrease by 54.5%), the turnover of air transport - 1,2 bln tkm (36.8%), turnover of pipeline transport - 855.9 bln tkm (growth by 2,7%).
