On April 1st, 2009 first vessel called to ro-ro terminal on the territory of First Stevedoring Company (part of the group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”). Workers of FSС discharged from “Trans Europe” ferry about 90 roll-trailers with the general cargoes with the total weight of 3 000 tons.
Ro-ro terminal – is the third successful project within the Development Programme of the group of companies “Sea port of Saint-Petersburg”. The group of companies transferred about 780 mln. rubles for engineering works, construction and reconstruction of infrastructure of the 1st stage of the terminal.
Terminal with the annual capacity of 1 mln. tons can handle all types of ro-ro cargoes: cars, roll-trailers, highway freighters, автопоезда, wheeled vehicles and caterpillars. All these vehicles transported further through check-points by trucks and railway transport.
Storage capacity of the terminal (open grounds -152 thousand sq. m, warehouses- 8 thousand sq. m) allows to store simultaneously about 3 000 units of various vehicles.
Regular calls of “Trans Europe” ferries to ro-ro terminal will ensure ro-ro handling volumes amounting to 400 thousand tons in 2009.

In May of 2008 1st stage of car terminal was put into operation on the territory of Third Stevedoring Company (annual capacity up to 80 thousand cars).
In January of 2009 Universal Handling Facility was put into operation in Ust-Luga (annual capacity up to 3 mln. tons).
