In 2009 the group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” transferred over 67 mln. rubles for the implementation of the environmental campaigns, which exceeds by 20% the figures of the previous year.
Over 41.6 mln. Rubles were transferred for design works and construction of the water treatment systems and facilities on the territories of new complexes which are being constructed within the implementation of the development programme of the group of companies - on the territories of the “Multipurpose Reloading Complex” (0.5 mln. Rubles), ro-ro terminal of the First Stevedoring Company (36.8 mln. Rubles), Container Terminal of the Fourth Stevedoring Company (4.6 mln. Rubles).
6.9 mln. Rubles were transferred for repairs and maintenance of the water treatment facilities and storm water sewerage systems on the territories of First, Second and Fourth Stevedoring Companies.
The companies of the group systematically control the observance of standards and requirements of environmental and sanitary legislation. Ecological division of the group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” monitors the quality of the surface water run-offs and air, disposal of the wastes, places of temporary storage of wastes on the regular basis. In 2009 the company transferred 18.8 mln. Rubles for these purposes.
