On January 27 we celebrate the 63rd anniversary of lifting of the Siege of Leningrad. On the threshold of the date the Company rendered welfare assistance to all the veterans of the port - former residents of the besieged city awarded the medal “For the Defense of Leningrad”. Each of them was visited by the port delegation, and all of them received congratulations and presents.

The Day of lifting of the Siege of Leningrad is a memorial date for JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” - the successor of Leningrad Sea Commercial Port. Throughout 900 days of the Siege the work of the port never stopped: workers discharged and loaded armaments, valuable equipment, provided defense plants with power energy. Port workers participated in the construction of the legendary “Road of Life” on the ice of the Ladoga lake.
