About 2.1 mln. rubles were transferred by JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” for the purchase of the presents for the children of the employees and children of sponsored orphanage and for support of non-working pensioners-labour veterans of the port.
900 children of the employees received New Year sweet presents from the company. 60 New Year presents were given to the children from orphanage Nr. 10 of Kirov district of Saint-Petersburg. The company has been the guardian of this orphanage for 23 years.
In the fourth quarter of 2011 the company provided financial assistance to 886 non-working pensioners, registered by the Interregional Public Organization “The Veterans of the Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” and also to people celebrating a jubilee and active members of Veteran’s Council.
Beside quarterly payments additional to pension the former port workers receive payments to official public holidays and the company provides also special support to survivors of siege and participants of the war.
