JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” invested over 160 mln. rubles in various social projects in 2007.
Over 700 thousand rubles were transferred to the Orphanage Nr. 10 in Saint-Petersburg for the capital repairs of the building, decoration of the premises, purchase of the furniture, sport equipment, home appliances and a mini-bus.
Over 850 thousand rubles were used to purchase the New Year presents for the children of the employees.
3.5 mln rubles were transferred in order to support the Board of the Veterans of the Port, to pay the additional financial aid to the veterans and organize the concerts.
155 mln. rubles were used for the reconstruction and development of the Sport Shooting Club “Olimpiez” , which was established in the end of 2006 with the support of the Administration of Saint-Petersburg for revival and development of the Olympic kinds of the shooting sport.
Within this sizeable project the shooting galleries were reconstructed, the landscape was altered and new target throwers were mounted on the territory of the club.
At the moment the Club provides training grounds for professional and non-professional shooters. On the base of SSC “Olimpiez” trainings for young shooters of Comprehensive High Sportsmanship School of Physical Culture and Sport Committee under the Administration of Saint-Petersburg will be conducted. These activities will help to revive the school of trap-shooting and spread this kind of sport among youth.
Reference: In 2007 “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” won the first prize in the review competition among guardianship boards of orphan homes of Saint-Petersburg and was awarded a badge of honour “For humanization of schools of Saint-Petersburg” and letter of award from the Governor.
