From April 1, 2008  the salaries and wage rates of the dockers of CJSC “PerStiCo” have been increased by 10%.

This decision is a part of the policy of social partnership and aimed at the improvement of the social security system of the workers and at the provision of incentives for the workers to fulfill their duties at higher quality level and at the increase of the performance. The Administration of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” intends to take care of the personnel not paying attention to the continued labour dispute, triggered by the Trade Union Committee of the Russian Labour Union of dockers of CJSC “FSC”.

The increase of the salaries in all the stevedoring companies of the group was planned for the beginning of 2008, but due to the provocative actions of Trade Union Committee of CJSC “FSC” it was postponed for the workers of this company.  In Second and Fourth Stevedoring Companies the salaries were increased after the settlement of the labour disputes - in January and February accordingly.

Reference:The salaries and wage rates of the employees of CJSC “Second Stevedoring Companies” were increased depending on the category of workers by 5-15%; the same increase was made with regard to the Fourth Stevedoring Company on February 1, 2008.
As a result of the scheduled increase of the salaries and the wage rates in 2007 the wages of the employees of the stevedoring companies grew by 12-50%  depending on category.
On March 21, 2008 The Supreme Court of Russian Federation upheld the resolution of Saint-Petersburg City Court on ruling the termless strike of the employees of CJSC “First Stevedoring Company” illegal.
The cassation appeal of the Trade Union organization of the Russian Labour Union of dockers of CJSC “PerStiCo” was dismissed.
