On May 8 OJSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (SP SPb) together with State University of Sea and River Fleet named after S.O. Makarov arrange festive events dedicated to 70th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War which will be held near the monument “To Heroic Sailors of Baltic Sea Shipping Company and Leningrad Port”, address: 5 Mezhevoy kanal.
Program of events includes placing guards of honour, flower-laying ceremony, procession of participants to the monument dedicated to Port Defenders near Gutuevsky hub at the First cargo area of the port where flower-laying ceremony will be also held. In the evening as the completion of festive events the concert will be arranged in the events hall of the University.
Veterans, employees and management of SP SPb, teachers and students of State University of Sea and River Fleet named after S.O. Makarov will take part in the festive events.

10.45-11.00 – placing guards of honour at the memorial places of the port.
11.00-13.00 – procession accompanied by wind band and flower-laying ceremony near the monument “To Heroic Sailors of Baltic Sea Shipping Company and Leningrad Port”; monument in honour to Port Defenders near Gutuevsky hub at the First cargo area of the port and other memorial places;
13.00-17.00 – concert dedicated to Victory Day in the events hall of State University of Sea and River Fleet named after S.O. Makarov.
