According to preliminary data the tax payments of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” for 2007 amounted to 990 mln. rubles, which by 16% more than in the same period of last year.
In 2007 288 mln. rub. were transferred to the local budget, which is by 23% more than the same figures of 2006; 702 mln. rubles were transferred to the federal budget which is by 13% more than for the twelve months of 2006. The growth of the tax payments is caused by the increase of the amount of complicated and expensive handling operations in the stevedoring companies of the group.
The total monthly salary in the group of companies amounted to 27 thousand 610 rubles in 2007. And the monthly salary of the dockers, main workers of the port, amounted to 33 thousand 528 rubles.
On January 1, 2008 salaries and wage rates of the employees of CJSC “Second Stevedoring Company” and of the managing company JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” were increased. Since February 1 salaries and wage rates of the employees of CJSC “Fourth Stevedoring Company” were increased as well.
