On June 19 the employees of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” (“SP SPb”) together with the specialists of “Universal Forwarder” successfully completed the operation on handling of components of Siemens power station for “Juzhnouralsk GRES power plant-2” in Chelyabinsk region.
Total weight of shipment lot amounted to 1 500 tons. Floating crane “Demag” with the lifting capacity of 350 tons was used for handling of the most heavy elements (308 and 341 tons). The rest of the components were reloaded by gantry cranes.
Heavy-lift equipment was delivered in the end of May on the specialized vessel of BBC line to the berth Nr. 23. In order to store the equipment the specialists of “Universal Forwarder” installed special metal structure allowing to distribute the load along the berth.
