In the first quarter of 2020, Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC (SP SPb) allocated almost RUB 600,000 as financial support to the veterans: retirees, those celebrating anniversaries and activists of the Interregional Public Organization "Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg Veterans". The organization numbers 449 members.

The company regularly arranges tours around the company premises, water trips along the city rivers and concerts for the members of the veterans organization. At the meetings involving the port employees, the elderly hear the industry news, share their experience and memories. However, face-to-face contacts are limited today.

Dmitry Vorobyov, PR Department Director, Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC, comments:
– A tradition of amicable meetings that link different generations of port employees has been alive for many years. Unfortunately, amid this year’s challenging epidemiological situation, many events have been postponed. I am sure, we will soon be able to resume real-life communication that supports human relations and the generational bridge, that contributes to handing down of professional traditions, moral and spiritual values. Our key task today is to respect the constraints and do our best to ensure safety and save health of our veterans!
